Africa Transport Solutions (ATS) commenced business in 2004 as an asset light business, but shortly after converted into a comprehensive 3PL.
The expansion of the consolidation services and the driver training (Dunatara) capabilities was a direct result of our clients’ needs and drive for internal efficiencies.
In February 2011 Khozakhulu Freight Logistics (KFL) started trading as an independent logistics service provider and in April 2018 incorporated under the ATS group, registering as a Proprietary Limited Level 2 BBBEE contributor, specialising in servicing the FMCG and Industrial markets.
Today, KFL is the operational, solution build, technology roll-out and consulting entity of the Group. ATS continues to exclusively service the Agricultural market and assume responsibility for fleet maintenance and driver management. Both transport entities are RTMS accredited.
In 2020 ATS sold the majority shareholding in ATS International to the Danish company Scan Shipping, re-branded as Scan Shipping Africa. The service capability is incorporated under the KFL offering in South Africa.
